Job Description

We have an opportunity for an experienced Branch Manager in Tomago NSW. This site provides specialised logistics services for the safe and secure movement, handling and storage of dangerous goods, servicing some of the major mining customers on the East Coast and SA.

As the Branch Manager you will oversee the day to day running of this 24-7, $30M operation. Your remit is to achieve service excellence within established timeframes and cost guidelines and hold overall responsibility for Branch EBIT, Cost control, new business opportunities and of course, site safety.

This is a role where leadership, customer excellence and operational efficiency all come together and you will need to drive high standards whilst ensuring the site is being run safely and efficiently.

With 7 direct reports and up to 65 indirect you will have demonstrable experience managing operations, leading people, being the customer touch point, running PNL and cost management reviews and always leading from the front with safety.

As the Branch Manager you will be responsible for:

  • People Management
  • Fleet Management
  • Major hazardous Facility Management
  • Subcontractor Management
  • Cost Management and
  • Contractual Management


 To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Prior DG exp. and the ability to have an ACO check.
  • Fleet Management experience.
  • Unionised workforce management experience.
  • Commitment to in/external customer satisfaction.
  • Continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lateral thinker with hands on attitude.
  • A sound ability to work under pressure and autonomously without direction.
