About the Role:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a multi-skilled apprentice trained Electrician with a minimum of 5 years’ experience gained within a heavy industrial engineering background. The role involves maintenance, fault finding and installation on a wide variety of production equipment involved in the manufacture of solid woven conveyor belting. This ranges from textile equipment to heavy duty presses and rubber processing.

Working Pattern

We have continuous production operating from 6am Monday through to 6pm Thursday with additional shifts operating Fridays and Saturdays as required.

You will initially work 7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, however, due to the support required, your working hours may vary in line with production requirements. You must be flexible and be able to work other shift patterns including 12-hour days, overtime and the occasional night shift.

About You:

Applicants will be qualified to a minimum of advanced apprenticeship or equivalent level together with IEE regulations 17th / 18th edition. You will be able to demonstrate experience of working with servo drives, motors and PLCs together with knowledge of panel wiring and installation work. You will have basic mechanical skills acquired with formal training or be willing to undergo this development. Short course skills and health and safety training are an integral and on-going part of the role.
