Job Description

Here is an opportunity to join the team to provide medical nursing and occupational health support. As part of your role, you will be responsible for ensuring quality nursing care. You will also be required to assess and identify client/patient needs, plan and implement nursing care plans according to identified needs and deliver nursing care according to the patient’s health needs.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Knowledge of nursing processes, procedures and techniques and a good understanding of the health care policies
  • Understanding of safety management, behavioural safety and risk management framework, procedures and systems
  • Good understanding of the related health care policies and procedures

This role is in Mokopane Occupational Health Centre at a Band 8 level reporting to the Occupational Medical Practitioner.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12
  • Diploma / Degree in Nursing (NQF level 7) and Registered with South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse
  • Registered as a community health nurse (Advantageous)
  • Certificate in Audiometry, Spirometry, Vision and VCT

Experience:

  • One year or more Nursing experience
  • Computer Skills – (MS Office)

  • Valid Driver’s licence – advantageous
  • Communication skills (written and verbal) and report writing skills
  • People management skills
  • Skills with regards to research
