Our new factory unit is due to be completed late 2021 which means several new roles being available for the right applicants
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join us as a CNC Machinist
We are leading specialists in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke magnetically shielded rooms, and have an expanding customer base throughout the UK, Europe, the USA, and Asia
With a full manufacturing facility in Staplehurst, Kent fully equipped with the latest technology we are able to provide our customers with the highest level of service and quality
All of our manufacturing processes, including heat treatment, are integrated in our production plant
About the CNC Machinist role:
- You will work within our tool-room department operating our CNC controlled lathes & 2 mills to generate components required for tooling or directly by our customers
- Most components are designed in-house and will require the successful candidate to use the 3D model to generate the machining code within Inventor CAM software, which feeds directly into the machines
- You will also in collaboration with our design department aid in the design of any fixturing or jigs that may be required to allow machining of the components
In order to be successful in this role you must have:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a machining environment
- Have experience of Heidenhain controllers
- Experience in Inventor CAM or similar software
- Design and manufacture of machine fixturing
- Produce small, complex batches of components to high quality standards
- Read and work from engineering drawings
- Ability to work within a team to ensure deadlines are met
- Experience of sliding head lathes would be advantageous
- Be a team player and be able to work to tight deadlines
It would be great if you had:
- Experience of working within an ISO9001 quality system
- Familiar with Lean/ 5S principles
