Mushroom Picker Jobs in Canada – Description
Duties of Mushroom Picker:
– Hand-picking and harvesting mushrooms
– Sorting, weighing and packing mushrooms
– Loading and unloading crates, pallets and farm supplies for transport
– Preparing mushroom beds, cleaning and sanitizing picking tools, racks and packaging areas
– Assist other farmworkers in tasks such as picking, packaging, spraying crops and operating farm equipment if needed
Capabilities
– Report and follow directions of a farm supervisor
– Be capable of lifting (up to 30 pounds), bending, crouching for a long period of time.
– Be able to work in all types of weather conditions including cold, rain, and heat.
– Be able to work under pressure and handle repetitive tasks.
– Be able to work in wet, damp and strong odours environments.
Benefits: Accommodation will be provided, $30 per week. Relocation expenses will be covered.
