About the role
As a Digital Architect, you will be responsible for the development of solutions and services within Vector’s enterprise architecture framework and contributing to the growth of that framework.

The role exists to assist and enable our partner businesses and Vector Group to achieve our business objectives by defining, managing, and governing solution designs and service specifications; and to guide the effective deployment of solutions into the operational environment.

You’ll provide strong collaboration with key business and digital stakeholders to create effective solutions that align with business requirements and architectural standards.

Key functions are:

  • Solution Architecture
  • Business and stakeholder engagement
  • Vendor Engagement
  • Learning and innovation

Experience with some or all the following is valuable:

  • Cloud technologies and standards in AWS essential
  • Security architecture, standards, and protocols
  • Service Oriented design, implementation, and governance
  • Integration patterns, API design, microservices
  • B2B interface design
  • IoT technologies and M2M communication protocols
  • Mobile application development

Who we are looking for
You are a “T-shaped” professional with a depth of experience in the technical related fields of infrastructure and AWS cloud services, with a breadth of experience across software development, as well as some previous experience in a solution architecture or digital architecture role.

You’ve had experience working in the technical related field of infrastructure, AWS cloud infrastructure, and software development as well as some experience in a digital or solution architecture role.

You’ll also have experience with digital services within an AWS cloud environment and working knowledge of cloud infrastructure: computing resource, networking, storage, security, and virtualization.

You can communicate complex technical issues and can drive change while maintaining sensitivity to the existing business. In addition, you’ll bring with you your ITIL / ITSM knowledge as well as service design and operational planning experience.
