Job description

Within KPMG Corporate Finance & Valuations we regularly conduct research into current issues within Corporate Finance. It is possible to conduct research in various directions. For example: Differences between market and book value of equity at P/B below 1.0, takeover premiums within Europe, effect of impairment on share prices, discounts on the value of companies due to lack of marketability and liquidity, discounts on the value of companies due to the size of the company in Europe and/or the effect of diversification on the `cost of capital’ of a company. For these subjects we are looking for enthusiastic thesis writers with an interest in a career in Corporate Finance. In addition, we offer the opportunity to gain practical experience during this period by working on a number of projects so that you can really get to know the world of Corporate Finance. The internship consists of three days of shadowing and two days of writing thesis.

As a graduate intern at Corporate Finance & Valuations, you will receive good guidance from one of the KPMG professionals from our team and we will discuss your and our goals to get the most out of your internship. By doing a graduate internship at KPMG Corporate Finance & Valuations, you will gain professional knowledge as well as experience in guiding and advising clients. A graduate internship at KPMG is a good entry and springboard for a starter position within KPMG.

The Corporate Finance & Valuations team consists of KPMG’s valuation practice, which engages in valuation analyzes for various purposes. In addition, the team offers a wide range of corporate finance advisory services for the following sectors; Energy, Public Sector, Healthcare, Financial Services, Construction and Real Estate. On a day-to-day basis the team is involved with valuation or strategic analyzes and advising with acquisition or financing transactions.

Job requirements

  • Completed WO Bachelor or Master degree in Business Administration, Finance or another financial or technical study
  • You are available for 4-6 months and you are still registered at the university 
  • Ambitious, proactive, analytical, strong with numbers, team player, critical attitude
  • Above-average study results combined with extracurricular activities
  • Fluent in Dutch (pre) and English
  • For all the international candidates: We are actively seeking candidates with fluent Dutch language skills, both spoken and written, to meet the demands of our current clients.
