ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
You will be part of our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) team that, amongst others, works on our in-house developed MES platform built on Microsoft .Net and Oracle database. You will have ample opportunity to learn new skills and participate in projects that shape how we work on our Shop Floor.
You will be an internal consultant, providing technical guidance on MES problems and enhancements or providing solutions to various MES matters from a technical or business standpoint and ensuring on-time delivery.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
● Provide expertise within assigned projects, in the analysis, design, development and integration between business applications.
● Collaborate with the business analyst team with any new assignment by understanding the functional requirements.
● Analyze and document technical requirements and design or recommend cost-effective solutions.
● Develop new and maintain existing applications using standard programming languages and development methodologies.
● Develop and execute test plans that ensure systems and application integrity and quality.
● Develop documentation for all relevant changes/enhancements.
● Assist in developing and maintaining corporate standards for applications development.
● Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions.
● Provide implementation services related to the deployment of MES modules.
● Work in a flexible schedule to ensure that the critical activities in various geographies are completed as per the timelines.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline or equivalent work experience and technical training, is required.
● Must have 4 to 6 years of experience in the development of software applications based on .Net 4.0 framework and above; C#, ASP.Net, MVC, Javascript, and Telerik Controls (Kendo UI) with backend as Oracle PL/SQL.
● MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer) is considered an advantage.
● Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Professional Certification is considered as an advantage.
● Must have a good understanding of the Software development life cycle.
● Must have experience of integration with other systems such as ERP etc
● Must have an understanding of code quality aspects
● Should have experience of linear programming tools
● Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
● Willingness to proactively work with various business and IT stakeholders; schedule and lead video/conference calls to own the problem and get it resolved.
● Results-oriented with the ability to demonstrate strong creative and analytical problem-solving skills.
● Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to work well on cross-functional teams and foster team commitment to tasks.
● Strong time management skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks/projects.
