Job Description
Pixelle is looking for candidates who display safe working habits with an emphasis on hazard awareness to join the Androscoggin Mill team.
Be a member of the Androscoggin Mill’s talented Lubrication Maintenance Team.
Work independently or in a team environment
Job requirements & essential job functions include but are not limited to:
“Safe from the Start” attitude
Lifting 50# or greater on a regularly basis
Pushing/pulling up to 130#
Experience in lubrication practices or general mechanic work experience with willingness to learn
Climbing stairs, ladders and work in high places
Work in confined places
Work around hazardous materials
Considerable amount of walking, reaching, turning and twisting, bending kneeling, stooping
Working in extreme temperatures including extremely hot areas
Work in close proximity of high speed moving equipment
Operate and use maintenance equipment
Good reading comprehension skills
Read and use measuring devices with accuracy
Good communication skills
Perform basic math
Legible handwriting
Perform basic computer skills and understand computer reports
Attention to detail, comprehend and follow written procedures and policies
Regular, predictable attendance
Self-starter with the ability to complete daily work with minimal supervision
Teamwork
Work overtime as business needs dictate
Wear protective equipment and clothing when required
Qualifications
Minimum age of 18
High school diploma or GED
Pass pre-employment selection/testing criteria
MLT1 certification within two (2) years from start date is desired.
Lubrication experience in a manufacturing environment
Valid Maine driver’s license
