Position Overview

Feizy Rugs is seeking a full-time Supply Chain Coordinator to join our Purchasing & Inventory team.

The Supply Chain Coordinator will communicate and share information for international shipments and support many steps in the transportation process for shipping rugs from factories in Turkey, India, and China.

You’ll work with customs agents, warehouse staff, shipping companies, clients, and our accounting team to facilitate the flow of appropriate information. You’ll assist with shipping, receiving, and record keeping for international transactions. You’ll also process and monitor transactions related to time-sensitive import shipments in an effective and efficient manner.

Essential Duties

  • Assist with customer inquiries and requirements.
  • Coordinate and maintain relationships with vendors, customers, and agents.
  • Book, track, and document incoming shipments from overseas vendors.
  • Update all applicable ledgers with shipment and payment information: payable ledger, container folders, chargeback ledgers, unpaid/air ledger, and freight ledger.
  • Validate invoices and submit check requests for incoming international freight and trucking charges.
  • Prepare quotations and coordinate documentation between customers, vendors, forwarders, and brokers.
  • Communicate with internal quality control personnel in the Feizy warehouse to determine chargebacks needed and pass on to vendors.
  • Proactively communicate with internal and external parties, include fellow operations team members, management, sales staff, and customers.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding quality control issues, shipment overages and shortages.
  • Remit backorder release reports to the Client Service team.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 1 or more years of supply chain experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in using MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • High attention to detail and follow-through
  • Proficiency in English is required
  • Ability to maintain composure when working in difficult situations

Education and Experience – Preferred but not Required

  • Understanding of how to interpret US customs rules and regulations and the harmonized code preferred
  • Associate’s Degree or Higher
  • Intermediate-level Excel skills
  • Business to Business / wholesale experience

Work Schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm. This work is performed in the office and is not a remote position.
