ABOUT THIS JOB

To be able to support exponential growth over the years, Nielsen is expanding its IT operations in Chennai. We have a need for SAP ABAP Lead with strong ABAP / PI application development experience on SAP ECC and SAP HANA platforms.

Your role is to engage with various portfolio / Functional teams on complex requirements and problem definition. Responsible for executing day to day SAP production support activities and design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor Incidents on a daily basis and ensure that resolution is within the agreed SLAs

Configure the system for any new business requirements or change in the existing processes

Coordinate and work closely with cross functional team members

Foster and maintain good relationship with users across the globe to ensure customer satisfaction

Align the day to day activities by adhering to the policies laid down in the organization

Work with internal team to identify business issues, problems and/or enhancements and provide highly innovative and creative solutions to achieve quality and process improvements with available hardware, software, databases and peripherals

Ability to work under challenging environment and timelines

Good team management skills

Strong Interface experience with Standard IDOC processes for Sales Orders, ASN, both EDIFACT, Rosetta Net, knowledge of web-methods as a middleware will be a plus. Also support custom Sales Order Interfaces

Support highly complex SAP Enhancements for Order Management – requires ability to debug enhancements and trouble-shoot issues.

Work with other cross functional teams during development and configuration activities to ensure impact to other SAP modules and processes is considered.

QUALIFICATIONS

●      10+ years of experience in designing and developing SAP ABAP based applications including interfaces involved in SAP PI.

●    Experience working on HR ABAP, Payroll/OM is a must.

●      Min 3+ Years of experience in leading software development teams and interacting with cross IT teams for requirement gathering.

●      Ability to work across multiple teams within the IT organization. Must be able to effectively work with Key portfolio & management stakeholders and be able to communicate clearly on work status updates.

●      Ability to carry out feasibility analysis for project needs and propose high level designs with effort estimates. Ability to prioritize and plan technical work considering

●      Good understanding of object oriented programming concepts, HANA code push down techniques, performance-tuning techniques in SAP etc.

●      Hands-on experience on ABAP-Units is required.

●      Should have good experience in designing RICEFW objects in SAP Modules like SAP SD, MM, FICO, PP etc.

●      Strong Understanding of SAP Customizing and Detailed knowledge of core SD functions such as Item Categories, Pricing, Output determination, Text Determination, Credit Mgmt is a MUST.

●      Strong understanding or “Order to Cash” end to end processes (CRM from Opportunity, Quote, Sale Order. ECC: Contract Quote, Sales Order, DeliveryShipment, Billing, including Semi-finished goods and configurable materials)

●      Knowledge of ABAP Debugging and Web-Dynpro is required. Custom table maintenance and their use in programs, Knowledge of Batch jobs, Batch processing.

●      Hands-on experience on ABAP/ABAP Objects, Dialog programming, Data dictionary, User-exits, BAdl, Smart Forms, Reports, ALV, RFCs, BDC and other SAP development tools.

●      Should be able to translate functional specifications into SAP ABAP technical specifications.

●      SAP application architecture & solution designing background with 2-3 SAP end to end projects

●      SAP R3 technical team lead experience, SAP consulting skills to help improve/simplify existing SAP/non-SAP solutions and processes.

●      SAP ABAP development particularly interfaces, user exists, BADI, ALE, IDOC, EDI, LSMW, BAPI ABAP/4, ABAP OO, Classical interactive reports or ALV

●      Database design, data dictionary maintenance

●      Webservices, XML, HTML, Javascript, DHTML, BSP, JQuery, UML, OOAD, ABAP Webdynpro, ABAP on HANA, oData

●      SAP Fiori, SAP UI5 a plus  added advan

●      Workflow and Interfaces, enhancement framework, User-Exits and Business Add-in (BADI)

●      Experience with generic programming with a ‘can do attitude’

●      Should carry excellent communication & collaboration skills.
